d-ark is at any time subject to the personal data legislation, and any processing of personal information that takes place in compliance with the Danish Act on the Processing of Personal Data.

d-ark should be regarded as the Data Controller responsible for the information recorded about customers and visitors to the website.

 

d-ark collects information about you in a variety of ways linked to customer services and your use of its website. This policy describes the type of information we collect, how we process it and who to contact if you have any questions or comments about our guidelines.

Our legitimate foundation for processing your personal information is primarily to meet the agreements between you and d-ark.

 

COLLECTING, PROCESSING AND STORING INFORMATION

We only collect and process personal information about you that is relevant for the purposes defined above, and only store such personal information necessary to run our business.

 

 

WE CHECK AND UPDATE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We check that the personal information we process about you is not incorrect or misleading. Since our service depends on your particulars being correct and up to date, please advise us of any relevant changes to your details. You can use the contact information to notify us of your changes.

 

 

HOW LONG WE KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information collected through a purchase, via contact form or contact, in general, is kept together with your order for five years from the end of the financial year. This is in relation to cf. Section 10 of the Danish Bookkeeping Act, after which time the information is deleted.

All services used by d-ark have been protected by two way protection, where possible.

We protect your personal information and have in-house rules regarding information security preventing unauthorized parties gaining access to or knowledge of it.

 

IT equipment has been equipped with the latest firewall, anti-virus, malware, spyware, and ransomware, e.g., to ensure protection against unwanted interferences.

 

DATA BREACH

In case of a data breach, we have procedures in place:

d-ark will notify the right authority (in Denmark - DATATILSYNET) within 72 hours.

The notification will minimum contain:

  • A description of the nature of the Personal Data breach including, the customer data subjects concerned, and the categories and approximate number of Personal Data records concerned

  • Contact information on the Data Protection Officer (DPO) or another relevant contact within d-ark

  • We will describe possible consequences regarding the data breach.

  • We will describe the measures taken to address the Personal Data breach including, where appropriate, measures to mitigate its possible adverse effects.

 

We will without undue delay after becoming aware of a data breach relating to Personal Data notify the individuals affected by the breach. The notification will contain the same information mentioned above except the number of individuals affected by the breach.

If we put cookies in place, you will be told about their use and the point of collecting data through cookies. Before we place any cookies on your equipment, we will ask for your consent. However, cookies needed to guarantee functionality and settings can be used without your consent.

YOUR RIGHTS

Information deletion

You can at any given time request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 

Objection to our processing of your Personal data

You have the full right to object to our processing of your personal data. If your objected is legitimate, we will make sure adjust accordingly or cease using your data altogether

 

 

If you register on our website, we store the personal information provided in the user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

 

 

AMENDMENT OF GUIDELINES

D-ark reserves the right to update and amend the guidelines in this policy. Whenever we do this, we will also correct the “most recently updated” date at the bottom of the document.
